If you cannot make a class please give 24 hours notice or you will loose a class credit.

No services are transferable to any other dog or person.
For the Bark Class no refund will be offered.
Once you have booked onto a class your space is saved and due to the nature of only 4 spaces on the course we cannot offer a refund.
If you can't complete the course we can't be held responsible for this - only book onto a course if you are happy you can complete it!
We reserve the right to cancel a course if there is not enough attendees, in the event this happens you will be offered an alternative course or a credit valid for 6 months.
Please be on time for your class, if you are late we cannot guarantee we will have time to catch you up during the session.
Please exercise your dog before you come to classes, a dog with too much energy in the class will have difficulty concentrating.
Please don't give your dog all of its dinner before you come to class, if your dog has a full belly you may have difficulty motivating your dog during class. If the session is a very active class your dog will be very uncomfortable if they have a full belly, and this can also lead to intestinal problems - exercising on a full belly is never good for your dog.
If your dog toilets in the hall or outside of the hall it is your responsibility to clean up after your dog. Please make sure that you clean up after your dog wherever they toilet
Do not dispose of any toileting waste in the bins inside the venues, please take it home with you.
If your dog is ill please do not bring them to class, please come without your dog so that you do not miss the session. If you let Dale know in advance she will be happy to bring a dog for you to practise with.
If you miss a session we do not have time to catch you up during the next class, if you do want to catch up please book a one to one.
If you cannot make a session please make sure you let the instructors know.
Children are welcome at classes, but we would ask that they behave and do not disrupt the others in the group. If they are disruptive you may be asked to leave classes or not to bring them.
If you are bringing children to the class please make sure that you have enough adults at the class to supervise your dog and children.
Please do not let your children run around the hall. It is a dog training class not a playground
Please turn your mobile phone off or to silent. Being on your phone in class means you are not concentrating on your dog.
Do not interact with the instructors dogs who are tethered in class, they are not there to play with, they are there to demonstrate should the instructors need them.
If your dog is aggressive the ONLY class they are able to attend is the Bark Class - if your dog is aggressive our other classes are not suitable for your dog. If you are unsure please contact Dale.
Classes are not a social outing for your dog so please do not let your dogs play whilst in class, unless instructed to do so by the instructor.
Please don't talk while the Instructor is speaking, each session is only 45 minutes, so it is important the Instructor can impart the information to you quickly so that you have maximum practice time.
While waiting for your class to start please keep your dogs under control, we have neighbours to the venues and we have to respect this.
Do not enter the main classroom until you are invited in, we often have other classes running before yours.
While waiting to be invited in please ensure you give enough room for the previous class to leave the hall without blocking their exit path. Your dog might be friendly, but the dogs leaving the class might not be!

Our Bark Class is designed for dogs who lunge, bark and don't like other dogs. The course is 4 weeks long, is at our Wednesday  venue and only has 4 dogs on it. Because of the  nature of the class and the dogs attending we have a ratio of 2 instructors for every 2 dogs. Safety is our number one priority on this course so all dogs MUST be muzzled! A basket muzzle is recommended as your dog can still pant, drink and take treats. A cloth muzzle doesn't allow the dog to pant and can only be used for short periods of time, and most importantly your dog can still deliver a front tooth bite - and biting is what we want to avoid! So we do not recommend a cloth muzzle for this class

In addition to this we will explain to you how and why the training works, give you tips on how to control your dog and also introduce some formal training to boot! Afterall if you have a well trained dog you will feel much more in control and feel a lot calmer about handling your dog.

To book onto the Bark Class simply fill in the booking form below. Once we receive your booking form we will send you a questionnaire to fill in so that we can ensure we have all of the essential information to help you! If you have any questions about our Bark Class please contact Dale.

Currently this course is run on a demand basis, so if you would like to attend this course we will put your details on a waiting list and contact you with details of when the course will be run.

This class is designed to show you how to manage your dog when they react to other dogs. It is important to understand that your dog may never want to interact with other dogs and that we should never force our dogs to do this. What we aim to do in this class is to change the dogs emotional response to other dogs. We will show you how to change this so that over time you will be able to walk your dog past other dogs without lunging, barking or biting.
VIP Dog Training in Basingstoke is an accredited dog obedience school for puppies and older dogs. Are you interested in teaching your canine companion? We make it fun!

By following our proven methods we guarantee that you will see an improvement in your dogs behaviour. The longer you attend for, the better the results! It really is risk free! Our syllabuses have been formulated because of our experience of what works to make great companion dog. We don't believe in training an exercise because of what the "experts" say a pooch should know! We believe in training an exercise because it makes the experience of living with a companion dog much more pleasurable.

VIP only have 8 places on each course as having too many dogs in a class does not make for a good learning environment. We want to be able to provide you with a personal service and spend time with each person and dog during the class.

Life skills Classes

"Last nights class was awesome. It was all coming from a completely different way of thinking than we've been taught before

and makes alot of sense to me and apparently Tally, who stayed engaged for much more of the class. She was loose lead

walking round the room. The jumping up is genius! She doesn't often jump up at us at home but does when she's wound up.

Once she's reliable with us I'm going to put a plea out on facebook to get friends round to train her with strangers."
